UPDATE: Serato DJ with OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)

There are some news following up my previous post intended for my fellow DJs who like to keep their Macs on bleeding edge technology applenology. Yeah, I just made that up. Applenology. Deal with it. (Futurama™ Fry voice)

Check out the previous post about Serato DJ with OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)

Although there still seem to be some minor bugs it seems safe to upgrade your system to the latest OS X named El Capitan given you’re using the latest version of Serato DJ 1.8.0. At least that’s what Serato’s saying over at their site.

Serato DJ 1.8 is now supported on the latest version of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1. You can download the latest version of Serato DJ here. There are currently a few known issues:

  • Black screen after maximising Serato DJ [Note: this has been fixed in the latest 1.8.1 public beta version]
  • HID connection issues

We are working hard to have any issues fixed for the next Serato DJ release.
Click here for more information on software version / operating system compatibility.

Also if you’re feeling particularly brave you may check out the new 1.8.1 public beta. If you do so… may the force be with you, always.
