Here’s one for my fellow nerds! Star Wars: The Force Awakens is around the corner and oh boy am I excited!
Till that countdown runs out though, here’s a little something for those upcoming rainy days. I thought I’d share my favorite source of paper toys with y’all. It’s called cubeecraft.com and I specifically picked Star Wars related content for the occasion but the range of the site goes well beyond that. You’ll find models ranging from Ghostbusters over Super Mario to Moss from IT Crowd and a lot more. #nerdgasm
The vast majority of the content is produced by Chris Beaumont. Here’s how to build the models:
Cubeecraft (pronounced “kyoob-ee”) papercraft toys feature interlocking tabs for construction – eliminating the need for tape, glue or other messy adhesives. To download click on the model you would like then save the template image.
Each toy is designed to be printed on a standard piece of 8 1/2 X 11 A4 letter paper. Simply print, cut and fold your model into a cute and fun paper toy.
Before we get to the models… here’s what I learned from experience: I recommend using slightly thicker paper. Also it doesn’t hurt to use a little glue stick. Just don’t mess around with liquid adhesive!
Enjoy those rainy days! 🙂
BONUS II: Another four STAR WARS paper toys LEGO style
PS: I’d really love to see some of your work if you’re actually building some of the models!! Don’t be shy and leave a comment or send a mail!
PPS: We’ve all seen it like a million times but here it goes once again. All trailers to all seven movies… (yes, even The Phantom Menace. I’m sorry!)
